“We change. We grow up. It always happens. Nothing is forever. That’s the rule. Everything ends. And so our story begins.”
– Peter and the Starcatcher (via red-shoes-on-a-thursday)
Conversation with an old college buddy Chris: I'm looking forward to when I turn 30 and discover that we don't all wither and die once we're out of our twenties.
Me: Oh, we will. Just not literally. I'm holding on to my 20s as long as I can.
Chris: Me too. Although this girl at my internship said to me, "oh, I forgot, you're in your LATE TWENTIES." So now I want to start making fun of early-twenties people, all like, "oh, you drank your weight in Mike's Hard Lemonade and now you're hung over? That's SOOO early twenties."
Me: The late 20s are definitely a different world, man. I went out for my 28th birthday, and my hangover lasted two days. TWO DAYS. I thought I was about to break out into Swing Low, Sweet Chariot. And now I go to bed by 11, because otherwise I'm a disaster the next morning. Hey, remember when we used to hang out, pulling all-nighters and getting McDonald's at 4 in the morning? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that would kill me now.
